Aluminum Printing Machine - Easy Custom UV Printing on Aluminum

A UV aluminum printer enables full-color, embossed, and gloss varnish printing directly on aluminum surfaces. With digital inkjet technology, it requires no plates or screens—allowing even single-piece customization with no minimum order.

Thanks to UV curing, the ink dries instantly upon printing, forming durable, high-adhesion images. The finished prints are scratch-resistant and weatherproof, making them ideal for long-term use in signage, nameplates, and consumer products..

How to Print on Aluminum Using a UV Aluminum Printer?

Due to the special nature of aluminum, applying a UV primer before printing is essential. Without this step, UV ink may not adhere properly to the smooth aluminum surface, which can reduce the durability of your prints. Aside from this primer step, printing on aluminum is just as straightforward as printing on other flat surfaces:
Step 1: Prepare the aluminum pieces you want to print. Before printing, wipe the surface with alcohol or a neutral cleaner to ensure the aluminum is flat, clean, and free of oil or dust.
Step 2: Design your artwork using your preferred graphic software, such as Photoshop or CorelDRAW. Adjust the design to match the actual size of your aluminum pieces.
Step 3: Save the finalized design as a TIFF file and import it into the printer software. Choose the printing settings as needed, such as adding a white ink layer or enabling embossed (3D) effects.
Step 4: Place the primed aluminum pieces in the correct position on the aluminum printer platform. For batch printing of the same size aluminum metal prints, a dedicated JIG tray can help with precise alignment.
Step 5: Start the printing process and wait for it to finish. No manual intervention is needed during printing, and once completed, you can remove the finished pieces directly.

Multiple Aluminum Printer Sizes to Meet Your Printing Needs

Not sure which aluminum printer machine to choose? Our factory offers models with different printing ranges to suit various user needs. If you run a small shop printing aluminum necklace pendants with a low volume, a small-size printer is perfectly sufficient for daily use. If your business involves medium or small aluminum signs, labels, or gifts, a medium-size printer would be more suitable. For example, the X4060 model has a maximum printing area of 40×60 cm, allowing you to place multiple medium or small aluminum pieces at once—offering both flexibility and efficiency to help boost your printing productivity.

Aluminum Printer - Custom Patterns for Any Application, Widely Used Across Industries

Aluminum is widely used in our daily lives, thanks to its stable chemical properties. It can be shaped into aluminum tubes to store tea leaves, used as sealing caps to keep out moisture, or made into signs in public spaces. Our UV aluminum printer uses direct inkjet printing technology, which means you can simply design your pattern in graphic software and print it directly onto aluminum. Unlike screen printing, UV printing is not limited by the need for plates or stencils, and the pattern can be changed at any time. No matter what the application is, printing different patterns is simple and efficient.

Can the UV Aluminum Printer Print Directly onto Aluminum?

Due to the unique surface properties of aluminum, we do not recommend printing directly onto bare aluminum. Some aluminum surfaces are very smooth, making it difficult for UV ink to adhere properly. The correct method is to apply a thin layer of metal primer before printing.

The primer is transparent, so it will not affect the color of your printed design. This step is very simple — just wipe it onto the aluminum surface. The primer dries quickly, so it won’t significantly impact printing efficiency. This simple operation greatly improves UV ink adhesion and significantly increases the durability and service life of your printed designs.

How to Print Vibrant Colors on Dark Aluminum Using a UV Aluminum Printer?

You may have noticed that printing color patterns directly onto dark surfaces often produces poor results. Similarly, aluminum surfaces are silver in color. Without any pretreatment, full-color printing cannot fully reproduce true colors. How does a UV aluminum printer solve this problem? The answer is by adding a white ink layer. The white ink layer acts like a natural “white canvas” over the aluminum, preventing the silver surface from interfering with the color pattern. When printing color images, simply check the “white ink layer printing” option in the software, and the printer will simultaneously print the white ink layer and the color ink layer, achieving bright, true-to-life color results.
